GETTING TO MYSTIC, CONNECTICUT

By Car
Mystic is located in the southeast corner of Connecticut, directly off the I-95, exits 89 and 90. We’re less than an hour from Hartford and Providence, 2 1/2 hours from NYC, 2 hours from Boston.

By Train
The Amtrak train is a very convenient way to get into Mystic, as it stops right in town! New London, a more frequent stop, is only 15 minutes from Mystic. Ride directly from New York City, Boston, or many other Amtrak stations in the northeast. Travel tip: book your tickets in advance for a lower fare.

By Air
If flying into the area, the Providence T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) is the closest airport to Mystic, about 45 minutes away. Other airports in the area include Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (BDL), Tweed New Haven Airport (NHV), Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS), New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), New York City’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

Mystic has a number of places to stay during the festival. Below is a partner hotel to help you plan your stay. 

Please call and ask for the Mystic Film Festival room block rates. September is a very busy time of year, so make sure to book your room early!

PASSHOLDER BADGES

Passholder badges will be available for pickup at the Welcome Center during the festival (see posted hours below). Badges DO NOT automatically get you into your film’s screening or any other blocks / workshops / panels.  You must register for each session on our Eventive ticketing site, which should be accessible by mid August. 

Welcome Center at Mystic Luxury Cinemas during the following days and times:

Thursday, September 19th: 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Friday, September 20th: 11:00 am – 7:30 pm

Saturday, September 21st: 11:00 am – 7:30 pm

Sunday, September 22nd: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

SELECTED FILMMAKERS AND SCREENPLAY FINALISTS IMPORTANT “TO DO” ITEMS PASSES

Each film and screenplay selected for this year’s festival, will get two complimentary passes for the festival. 

To receive these passes, please send the email addresses and names of the recipients to info@mysticfilmfestival.com. 

The recipients will then receive an email with their pass.  Once the passes are received and tickets are on sale, each passholder MUST go into the Eventive system and reserve their space in the film blocks or workshops they wish to attend, including the one that their film will be screened in. 

Each passholder must reserve their space individually. 

Special Events – RSVP Required

If you plan to attend one or both of the events below, please email the names of each person who will be attending to info@mysticfilmfestival.com

Saturday, September 21st:  Get together at the La Grua Center from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm.

Sunday, September 22nd: The Awards Ceremony at Mystic Luxury Cinemas from 6:30 – 9:00 pm. Please note that from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm, there is a wine reception. The ceremony begins at 7:00 pm.
