Zoey returns to her family’s Connecticut home for a family reunion, only to learn that the reunion has been canceled and her father has left her mother. Spending the weekend with her mother that she’s never clicked with and an older sister who still sees her as an annoying little nuisance, Zoey begins to question her own relationship with a married man, now seeing the negative sides. As the heatwave continues the three women explore the relationship between a mother and her daughters and grown-up siblings.
